last nite we had guests for iftar - the newly weds Sani (sunny) & his wife June and of course mimi & family. sani & june got married about a month ago and just got back last week from homeland, tak sempat nak honeymoon pun lagi. Sani & i are colleagues and everybody else in the department are looking forward to finally meet sani's wife, maybe after raya we will go out for a meal & 'meet & greet' the pengantin baru
the menu was nasi biryani 'pritt stick' kambing (orang guna "pritt stick" sekarang, dah tak guna 'gam' lagi..get it??), lauk dal-carca merba with mix of vegetables that i could get hold of - aubergines, okra, dwarf beans, pineapples, carrots, potatoes and dhall, ayam masak merah madu - i cheated (again!) & used Brahim's Ayam Madu and added tomato sauce and sweet chilli sauce, salad and sambal belacan with Air Sirap Bandung. mimi made pengat pisang + keledek for dessert and i prepared rojak buah.
seronok tengok dia orang semua makan banyak..lauk pun just nice, siap tapau-ed for them as well.
