bercucuk tanam

since Summer holidays coincide with Ramadhan, we just spend time at home. among the activities that i do with the kids are grrowing our own herbs and vege.. tu pun kalau cuaca tak panas sangat otherwise the kids dont really want to go outside.

we had one big pot of pokok kesom last year but was ruined by the bad frost last winter. frust sangat. when my uncle & aunty came in April, i asked them to bring few stalks of pokok kesom, rendam dalam air dulu so that keluar akar and then planted them in the pot. the left pic was taken in june, and grew very well and i split it into 3 pots, daun pun dah rimbun & harvested & masuk dalam gulai asam pedas and i gave a small pot to mimi.  kat sini  ada jual potted pokok kesom at farmers market which they called "vietnamese coriander".

i bought these  cherry tomato plants at the end of june, from Melton Mowbray Cattle market car boot, each cost 80p. after 1 month keluar buah bergugus gugus tapi baru 1 biji yang masak.

little missy brought home 2 packets of seeds from preschool - parsley & runner beans. the girls helped me plant the seeds in small planters and left them in the greenhouse. i transferred the runner beans to the bed and the parsley to the big planter bought from co-op.
