mek bunga & easter chick

Alice the Dragon, the school play by lil missy & friends was a really good production. she kept the whole thing as a secret, not letting anything out. all that I know she's one of the flowers. once a while she asked me "mummy, how do you jump into conclusion? mummy, do you know swan lake?"

its a shame we cant put any pic or video on internet (data protection) but I took a pic of her after they finished  & was walking back to the classroom. ini lah rupa mek bunga saya yg pose ala2 manja..she was actually holding the petals from falling off!

 and today is the last day of half term before 2 weeks easter break. and every year the school would have "Mad Hatters Parade". all the infant school kids wear the easter bonnets decorated by the enthusiastic parents to school & parade infront of the parents before home time.mummy just recycled last year's bonnet, added few bits & bobs.

and of all  the days hari ni pulak mummy terlupa bawak kamera. I went the school straight from work. sorry gambar kurang memuaskan.

spring 2012 vs spring 2013

this was spring 2012 at our front lawn

 we were getting ready to feed the birds

this is "spring" 2013 at our front lawn...nasib baik tak jadi gardening/tanam bunga baru.

the back garden - no bird feeder = no bird

so i just have to make do with indoor gardening. the smell of hyacinth fills the living room. 

the fault in our stars

 bought this book on Friday after work and started reading on the bus on the way home. to those who love to read & havent read for a long time, this would probably be your next book. its engaging and you can laugh and cry all within the same page.. I haven't reached the crying bit yet..

 

Mira (the book reviewer)'s comment : This is a very good book. Ignore the age of the two main characters. Brilliant brilliant lines from a darn good author. I mean, who'd come up with "my thoughts are like stars I cannot fathom into constellations"??? Enjoys.

pride and prejudice

few weekends ago when it was warmer and sunnier, we drove to Lyme Park in Disley, Cheshire. it was around 1 1/2 hours drive from home and it was worth the long drive.

Crow Wood playscape. kids enjoyed it...

Winter's Wonderland

Just when you thought that winter was over and spring is coming into bloom, along comes a high pressure system that sits over Scandinavia and refuses to budge. With is comes the cold Siberian air that when clashing with the warm air from the Atlantic ocean produces snow and lots of it. More than last winter's snow.

Most people in the UK (my loving wife included) are saying "Dah dah lah tu!".

For me, I take it as it is - God gives us things so we may appreciate what we don't have.

There is beauty in everything. Let us be grateful to Allah that we can enjoy it.

 

 

Neither rain nor shine nor sleet nor snow will prevent this little girl from going to school.

The trampoline has new become a "changing room" with the new installation of a curtain.

Norwich

after the feeding & cuddling session at Wroxham Barn, we drove to Norwich on the way home and had lunch at  Castle Mall. its just another mall, another city. but outside the Mall is Norwich Castle.

lepas lunch, we walked around the castle, nak masuk pun dah tak sempat sebab nak kena balik awal - big missy hasn't finished her homework and the others  just want to rest..

weekend in norfolk - Wroxham Barn

wroxham barn is just a few miles away from coltishall.

ada junior farm and lots of speciality shops & cafes. we spent about 2 hours at the barn - feeding & cuddling the animals and also kutip "fresh eggs"
