come together festival 2013
last sunday night we went to Royal Albert Hall (in Notts, not the posh one in London) to see Aisyah & her friends from Nottingham Music School performing with 2 orchestra groups from Germany. its actually an annual event but for the past 2 years it was held in Germany.
it was a spectacular concert featuring 160 young musicians from Nottingham Music School and from the Jugendorchester Karlsruhe and Jugendblasorchester Halle, Germany. Aisyah plays the percussion in the Intermediate Orchestra and hope to move on to the Youth Orchestra (now called Robin Hood Orchestra) next term. Aisyah joined the music school after easter break in april and goes there from 9am-1pm every Saturday except during school hols/term break.

hear ye! hear ye!
Baby Cambridge was born on 22nd July 2013 at St Mary's Hospital, London weighing 8lb 6 oz.. that's big!

now lets guess the baby's name..Aisyah said the baby should be called Prince Severus; being a half blood prince..(from harry potter- got it???)
Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy, Kensington Palace has announced. an official notice was placed on an easel at Bucks Palace for the public to see
the Cambridge family left hospital on 23 July 2013 after introducing the baby to the public outside the hospital.
the famous fountain at Trafalgar Square will be lit up blue for a week to celebrate the birth

family night out
last night we had a family night out with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Concert Hall. it started at 7.30 sharp and finished at 9.45pm (with 15 minutes break).

hot summer days
when i woke up this morning, temperature was already at 22 deg, high of 29 deg in the afternoon. nasib baik bulan puasa, so kurang lah aktiviti jenjalan except bila perlu. the met office had issued heatwave alert yesterday and gave some tips
• Wear sunscreen
• Wear loose cotton clothing
• Drink lots of cool drinks
• Seek shade
• Wear sunglasses and a hat
• Look out for others, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly, young children and babies and those with serious illnesses
• Never leave anyone in a closed, parked vehicle, especially infants, young children or animals
the last heatwave was in 2006, when i was still pregnant with Aliyah. we went to Ireland for summer. first time Aisyah main air kat beach.
Aliyah's first taste of summer was at Chatsworth Garden in 2007

flora and fauna of wollaton park
on monday afternoon after aliyah came back from swimming class and i had finished cooking dinner, did 3 miles walk at wollaton park, probably the last one before puasa. it was a lovely day, lots of people around even tho it was already 7pm.
