makan, makan, makan

we received buka puasa & raya gathering invitations few weeks before we left for msia. first 2 weeks at home, dah penuh dengan itineraries. last week of puasa konon nya free sikit & boleh buka puasa kat rumah but still ada few jemputan yang tak sampai hati untuk ditolak. we had 9 days of syawal before balik ke notts. sempat lah beraya sakan until we got tired of the raya food.  big missy & i put on some kgs and big missy blamed it on the spread yg penuh meja our hosts prepared.

sampai aja ditanah air, beramai ramai buka puasa at my sis in law's place at bukit rahman putra. my mom made nasi kerabu (as per request) with all the extra accessories - ikan celup tepung, acar, telur masin, ayam goreng etc etc

 on friday, berbuka at yan (my best friend)'s place at setiawangsa. lauk penuh meja tuuu..the urap(kerabu) kacang botol was really good. ada chilly crab, gulai keladi, ikan masin, asam pedas, ulam2 dll.

8.30am, 31st july :

we left for london heathrow terminal 4. the car was full to the brim with 5 suitcases and 4 hand luggages.  

arrived at airport 3 hours later. dropped off the car at valet parking. its actually cheaper to park at the long stay rather than taking the taxi/coach.

 

2.00pm : on board Etihad Airways, bound for Abu Dhabi. 7 hours flight was easy for the kids, amused themselves watching movies and playing games. 2 hours transit in Abu Dhabi was spent watching the olympics - men synchronised diving.  little missy dozzed off just before we left AD for KL and slept all the way..

2.00pm (msian time) 1st August : we arrived at KLIA; di sambut oleh immediate family members - my mom, my siblings, my cousin, kamar's brother & sister.  it was really good to see familiar faces again. kids first reaction : panas!!

summer holidays 2012

yeah, this blog is accumulating dust and soon will become mouldy if i'm not careful.

we went back to msia for 4 weeks from 31st july - 29th august, for puasa & raya. on 2nd day raya we were at kamar's relatives house when his cousins asked "what happened? u've not updated your blog for some time".

" it was indeed an eventful, wholesome, enjoyable, tiring & challenging 4 weeks holiday (what holiday???). on behalf of my family, i would like to thank all of our friends and relatives for meeting & feeding us, the gifts, duit raya for the kids, baju raya for me & the girls (and also kueh raya - i missed this one) . kepada yg tak sempat jumpa tu, insyaallah panjang umur kita jumpa di lain siaran (eh..mcm kat tv pulak!). mintak maaf byk2 kalau terkasar bahasa secara sengaja atau tidak. halalkan makan minum kami. i'm glad we are still part of your lives. watch out for my blog post this weekend..cheerio & see u later!!"
