cuti2 dikampong - Sacrewell Farm

on Thursday, the last day of our cuti2 dikampong, we took the kids to Sacrewell Farm, near Peterborough. Sacrewell is an open working farm with 18th century working watermill, pond, stream, farm animals, play area and fruit orchard and vegetable farmland. Riverford Organic Vegetables are produced from Sacrewell Farm. there's a lso a big camping/caravan site

kids had fun going on tractor ride, feeding the animals, playing Poohsticks, pond dipping - all the simple life in the kampong.

The Tractor Ride

playing pooh sticks - just a simple game started by Winnie The Pooh, hence the name.. everyone throws  his/her stick into the stream from one side of the bridge, let the stick flow under the bridge and see whose stick comes out first on the other side.. for more info read here http://www.theenchanted100acrewoods.50megs.com/poohsticks.htm..

 our very own farmer
pond dipping - an activity to find out whats lurking beneath the water.  ponds contain large number of plants & animals - insects, worms, newts. most primary schools have ponds and the teachers use this to teach most topics regarding life process and living things.

 isnt he cute??

while on the tractor ride, i asked ina "do you think any other elderly moms in the mid-late 40s (like us) nak melayan kerenah anak2 kecik pergi  farm?" ...most moms with little kids that we saw are in their 20s or 30s, kalau yang elderly sikit could be the grannies..
