summer garden

my spring bed of primroses didnt survive the hot spell in mid april while we were away on holiday. daffodils been long gone, bluebells which bloomed in may have passed its season too and the flower bed became an eyesore.

yesterday morning after everyone left for work/school, i put on my gardening outfit; konon nak jadi ala2 bree van de kemp  tapi takde wide brim hat, garden gloves with matching knee pad & garden tools. all i've got are  a pair of pink gloves and green garden tools. i was on all 4, removing all the dead flowers/plants. yang sepatutnya 1/2 jam berlanjutan to almost 1 hour.

in the afternoon, on the way home from kenit's preschool i stopped at our local hardware store that also sells plants and bought trays of petunia, marigold and geranium. kenit chose the pink geranium - she spotted the word Rose, ejaan macam Rosie her doll.

petang after dah penat mentelaah 5 dissertations (the most mundane task), maka tugasan makcik tukang kebun bermula with preparing the flower bed - rake the soil, add new fertilised/compost  soil, then only boleh bercucuk tanam. after an hour, i planted 24 new flowers

malam tadi, my whole body was aching, rasa nak demam and i had to take 2 panadols.
