rezeki...

selalunya bila orang cakap pasal rezeki, they normally associate with money "rezeki tahun ni, dapat bonus 3 bulan & gaji naik 10%.."or with children " rezeki tuhan nak bagi, dapat anak setahun sorang..." something like that lah..

and people always say "kalau orang selalu datang kerumah, murah rezeki tuan rumah". i guess that is so true.

since we moved here almost 5 years ago, we were never short of guests. rumah kecik ke, rumah besar (sikit) ke, ada je tetamu - family members and close friends from malaysia and kakak (sil)'s friends who came all the way from canada & australia. early this year we welcomed fiza & murni (my cousin's friends) to our household when they got 'stranded' in notts and since then, we've become close friends. we enjoy having guests but we had to warn them in advance of our 'simple layanan' and sometimes they have to 'self serve' and find their own way around cos we had to be at work. but rest assured, our guests wouldnt be hungry as there's always food in the pantry or fridge.

sememang betul tetamu bawak rezeki sebab when they came, they'd never come empty handed. not that we expected them to bring something but most of the time, they insisted and also orang2 kat malaysia pun banyak yang mengirim. so Alhamdulillah, bekalan 'speciality food' such as ikan bilis, cili kering, rempah, belacan tak pernah putus. shortly after raya baru ni pun ada tetamu - chepot who was my staff at the previous workplace came with his wife & their 2 year old son. and they brought a big box of goodies - kiriman from friends in msia. terima kasih semua. even though chepot has gone back to msia 2 weeks ago, i'm yet to put them in the store.

and 2 days ago, we got a big package at our doorstep. we were puzzled cos none of us ordered anything online and was expecting any delivery. it was a 'recycled tyre horse swing' to hang on the big willow tree at the back garden. penat pikir who'd bought that for the kids. then kamar & i remembered that 2 days before that, we got a text message from our dear 'santa-ina' asking for our new home address. when she last visited us in the summer, she was saying that the rope swing on the willow tree would be more fun with rubber tyres.. it was a nice surprise and the kids would love it. we couldnt thank her enough for her kindness, things she gave & did for us and stuff she bought for our girls. thats rezeki too.
