I find that normally the safety briefings that the flight attendants give can sometime be so routine that people tend to ignore them - whether to prove to their travelling companions that they are seasoned travellers and don't need to hear the safety briefings again or whether they can't really hear what's being said, I don't know.
I found this while reading the news on Google.
That really got the passengers' attention. Bravo to Cebu Pacific.
