i reckon its important that parents 'record' conversations that we have with our kids. i do sometimes, more for my own collection & to saviour for the rest of my life.
scene 1
few days ago, 8.40am, on the way to school, glorious & sunny morning
" i have to wear my hat to school. if i dont, my hair will turn red (because the sun will shine on her hair) just like my friend Sam." by the way, Sam is a boy in her class who is red-haired.
scene 2
today, 8.45am, on the way to school, wet & gloomy morning
"mummy, its already june. its supposed to be summer (we had the same kind of conversation few weeks ago) but its raining. it didnt rain in december when it was supposed to. and we had that snow in january remember? it doesnt make sense!!"
my 5 y.o daughter becomes a weather critique, just like the elderly people u meet at the bus stops..
