off to school

petang tadi we took the kids (and lauren too) to little missy's infant school for induction & open evening. i guess kakak & lauren were more excited and enjoyed the short visit, more than little missy .. after the intro by the Executive Head and Head of School, we went to her classroom and met her teacher. kakak & lauren said "she's so lucky she's got a pretty teacher" and they thought she's probably the youngest teacher in that school..i'm glad to see a few of her friends from preschool - Edan, Lily Mae and Anna will be in the same class but one of her close friends Alaramia is in the different class.

there are 4 foundation classes, maximum of  30 children and 2 teachers in each class. the classroom is fairly big with different sections for art/creativity, roleplay, reading and writing. and most importantly, one toilet each for boys and girls at the back of the room  so the kids dont have to leave the classroom if they need the loo.

the school bag which hopefully will last throughout her infant years, from foundation sampai year 2..

the swim bag (for PE kit). normally the kids put all their PE stuff in there, bring to school on monday  and leave at the peg till friday.

before we left, we bought the school wear - cardigan and polo shirt (with school logo), PE shorts, school bag and swim bag for PE kit.  we'll wait till summer holidays to buy the school uniform & shoes from supermarkets or dept stores.

was feeling a bit apprehensive at first bila mengenangkan umur belum 5 tahun dah nak kena all day schooling from 9-3.30, bukan nya pergi kindy separuh hari. but after meeting the teacher and seeing that she's quite independent and excited, i think she's ready to go to big school.
