testing week

saturday was glorious then thunder storm started on saturday nite with heavy downpour and all day sunday was wet and miserable. aisyah went ice skating with lauren & nateia to celebrate lauren's 11th birthday and the rest of us just stayed in.

i started clearing (throwing away more like it) the unwanted junks - ada jugak lagi despite having thrown lots of stuff when we moved last year. the garage/store floor was flooded as the rainwater seeped thro the garage door and the good sturdy boxes which were on the floor were wet and ruined. i'm shipping off lots of stuff back to msia - the kids clothes & shoes, story books, toys. household goods. nak simpan baju & kasut aisyah for aliyah pun tak guna due to the big gap between them. aliyah's warm clothing will be given away to lauren's 2 yr old cousin while the summery ones will be sent home for my cousins' children. packing & moving & unpacking is a sheer torture if you ask me but i just dont have much choice do i ?? masa nak pindah last year pun, i did all the packing while kamar had to dissemble & re-assemble two double beds, one 3 doors wardrobe, one cot bed, book shelves..and this time tambah satu lagi - aisyah's bunk bed. last year, he managed to assemble everything in 2 days without referring to the instructions. glad i married a handy man.. our private joke - 'kalau meor (our fren) ni, sure upah orang ikea datang fix balik'.

today, it was overcast again with sunny intervals. i planned to go to the library to continue my revision but kenit was cranky & pujuk me not to go to work. then i realised that she had a temperature, gave her medication then she slept. i know that she would be upset if i wasnt home when she woke up so i abandoned my plan & marked students coursework scripts instead. i'm glad there's such thing as flexibility with this job..hope she'll be ok tomorrow cos i really need to get some serious studying done.
