Happy Dad's Day

yesterday was Father's Day, no special celebration. i made breakfast which is normally kamar's weekend duty. then we were off to Trowell Car Boot; £20 = dapat banyaaakkkk barang.. was really chuffed with my shopping spree. bought cycling helmets - 1 for kenit & 1 for my niece @£2 each, children story books, playdough with a bag full of moulds, toy box, tea/coffee caddy etc etc...

when we got home, prepared lunch - kamar made ginger beef, terung & okra goreng with bilis and i made thai fish cake.

at around 4.30, ajak kamar pegi walking at Dale Abbey, about 15 minutes drive from home. last month dah pergi tapi tak jumpa Hermit's Cave walhal dekat aja from the abbey ruins.

the abbey was dissolved in 1538 and demolished by demand of Henry VIII.

Hermit's Wood ni ada cerita sebenarnya. the cave was excavated around 1130 by a Derby baker who had a vision to worship God at Depedale (old name for Dale Abbey). he lived in the cave for 20 years (hence known as 'hermit') before he moved down the hill and built the chapel which was the beginning of Dale Abbey Church. read www.derbyshire-peakdistrict.co.uk/daleabbey.htm
