met office said the prolonged cold period was the worst the county had seen for more than 20 years. i spoke to few parents at aisyah's school and they said that the last time winter was this bad was in the 80s. so far, the schools near our area are spared from being closed. schools in scotland never opened since the new year, temperature up north could plummet down to -20 deg C over the weekend. that's really bad..
