friends i met last cuti2 msia

these are the friends i got to meet during my 10 days short cuti2 malaysia. each and every one of them is significant at some point in my life; hence i treasure them all..

morning coffee with Raisah at Dome, KLCC. Raisah & I were in the same school (faculty) in ITM in early 80s. she did Architecture while i did QS. and after we graduated, we lived next door to each other in Taman Melawati. we last met 10 years ago and she didnt even know that i had moved here. we found each other on fb early this year and arranged to meet up to catch up the lost times. 

after coffee, took the LRT to KL Sentral to have lunch with Ti @ Yati Idris Razmi @ Skatey  makan nasi ayam penyet.. supposed to meet Ita @ Rosita as well but that new granny is  forever busy and meeting tak habis2 kat Prasarana. Ti, Ita  & i were classmates/dorm mates back in ITM in the early 80s and went to Scotland for our degree, Ti  in Edinburgh while Ita & i went to Glasgow and we've never failed to keep in touch. Ti & hub just got back from their honeymoon (yg entah ke berapa) in Spain & Portugal; bawak souvenier for me some more. she knows what i like...seronotsss!!

 malam - makan satay Ismail with Mona.. perasan tak i pakai baju sama dari pagi sampai malam hahaha. Mona & I worked in a small  QS consultant firm in Bangsar way back in early 90s. there were 5 female and 2 male QSs and we were so close way back then, working till late evenings and over the weekends untuk siapkan tender document but we never complained. then when i left the firm in 1996, one by one followed suit  for greener pastures. tak sempat jumpa Hafilah & Yati..next time ya

lunch at Ben's KLCC with 2 beautiful ladies - Mira aka mummy the lawyer & my cousin Dy. makan2, story mory, gelak2.. tu je lah agenda kami.. lepas makan kat Ben's, minum kopi kat San Francisco coffee pulak. and in between, pegi premier toilet yang kena bayar RM2 tuu... i belanja toilet tau!

posing after lunch at Madam Kwan's with 2 beautiful ex colleagues - Wan Haslina and Hanim. both are "oil ladies"..Linot owns and manages a petrol station while Hanim works with green giant. thanks for the lovely lunch and Linot, thanks for buying me the Coffee Meringue cookies yang sangat sedap!

me & my bff; the morning after sleeping over at her place. we actually had dinner at Cosy Corner and coffee at Starbucks, GE Mall on Sunday nite that i arrived in Msia. mesti lah kena jumpa yang ni dulu before meeting the others.

lunch at KL Meridien with my longest time friends - Chomin, Za, Sally aka the Golden Sand Golden Girls. we've been friends since std 1 in Pasir Mas; hence the name "Golden Sand". thanks to Chomin the "Nejar" (or Manager), a name we all call her since forever; even tho now she holds the position of Exec Director, YTL Comms. Za memang dari dulu we called Datin and she is one now and Sally has always been known as Ticher Sally - she's now the Penolong Kanan, Sek Sri Aman. the girls are so successful in their own rights and i'm so proud of them.  we made plans for a visit to Notts next year and i cant wait to see them again!  

that nite, i had a sleep over at Sally's place sebab dah janji dari awal2 lagi.. malam tu supper makan roti canai at her kids fav place in Kota Dsara. the next morning, makan soto for breakfast.
memang non stop makan2 !!!!

lepas lunch at Le Meridien, drove to Amcorp Mall to meet up with my best friend masa form 1 in SS
(Sek Men Sultan Sulaiman, KT). Sah ( Sharifah Nazihah) and i were the 2 of the smallest girls masa form 1 dulu sebab kita ni budak express, masuk form 1 tak cukup umur. not met her for ages. she is now a fulltime housewife, raising 5 kids and cats, looking after babies and  lil kids in a children nursery next to her house. sitting next to her is her elder sister Kak Nor. Sah & i are more like family friends since my parents knew Sah's parents and me & my sister been friends with her & her siblings. sedap makan Durian Durian (durian layer cake) at Secret Recipe. thanks Kak Nor for the recommendation.

on Friday afternoon, had dimsum at Bangi Equitorial with geng PJH. the 2 achiks  yang duduk tersenyum lebar tu worked in the same dept and both left years ago. Niez @ achik bangi on the right tu ada beauty salon/spa kat bangi (where else kan??) while still working full time. Huda @ achik ulu kelang on the left tu dah jadi lady of leisure and also my partner in crime. the 2 achiks yang berdiri kat belakang tu, Finaz and Jot  masih setia kat pjh. thanks for the dimsum.. fyi, i dapat speeding ticket while driving on LDP to Bangi, 12 kmh over the speed limit sebab dah terlambat!

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR MAKING TIME TO SEE ME, FEED ME AND FOR ALL THE GOODIES - COOKIES, JAJAN, GIFTS ETC FOR ME & MY FAMILY.  HANYA ALLAH SWT SAHAJA YANG DAPAT MEMBALAS JASA BAIK ANDA SEMUA. HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOME TIME..SOONER OR LATER.
