5-4-3-2-1

this evening, we joined our org2 kampong for the upacara memasang lampu pokok xmas in our neighbourhood.  its the real tree, not the plastic tree by the way..

first time jumpa orang2 kampong at the same place, same time. kenit was the happiest sebab jumpa ramai kawan2. i finally met the much talked about Thomas Djewey (pron Ju-wi) who's a very polite boy and likes to play with the girls. apa2 pun his name is already in the list of 10 kids she's inviting for 5th birthday if we decide to hold one!

 and the lights were switched on..

then, orang berpusu2 ke charity shop - and they serve free juice & biscuits, ada pakcik played xmas songs on the organ and we bought a nice white/blue oval plate for aunty yan

the neighbourhood shops on our main street..kedai tak banyak tapi enuf to serve the community - ada post office, newsagents, hairdressers, laundrette, bakery, butcher, optician, greengrocer & fruiterer, travel agent, estate agent, cafes, cheesecake shop, fish n chippy, chinese takeaway, home deco, hardware, mini market, bank and 2 bus stops .. cukup lah.
