when i was working at the old place, i hated wednedays cos thats TC day. (cik mira ingat lagi kah apa itu TC??). almost every wednesday, i could be everyone's worst nightmare. dont ever think of applying for leave on wednesday sebab 1) i have to sit in the meeting and 2) kut2 boss "ter E.L" and i have to sit in for him and berdengung lah kepala otak duduk dalam meeting room sehari suntuk. and being the secretariat, akak jugaklah kena arrange refreshment. and you know lah typical opis korkeparat, kalau meeting habis at lunch time kena siapkan nasi, paling kurang biryani gam. kalau meeting pagi/petang, kena ada kuih muih - sweet & savoury. the next day pagi2 morning kena briefing staff about outcome of the meeting, then buat minutes yang berjela2. paling tak tahan kalau kena 'be discreet'. kena lah pandai mengolah ayat. honestly after 8 years (out of 10 yrs in the organisation) of doing that week in week out, tambah pulak kenkadang kena sound tak pasal2 and effort not appreciated, i just couldnt take it anymore and called it quit.
but now i love wednesdays... sebabnya i only start teaching at 1pm. even though kena berdiri & bercakap & berjalan pusing classroom 2 hours back to back from 1-3, 3-5; its not so bad. some weeks i just deliver a short lecture at the beginning of the session then get the students to do some tasks on their own or most of the time in groups. sempat lah nak rest sekejap & minum air before going round checking their progress or help those who need a bit of coaching. they kind of enjoy the flexibility, kalau cepat siap, cepat boleh balik. but this week, the sessions run right to the end of 2 hours.
and wednesday = pasta day in this house. i love making pasta dishes sebab senang dan cepat. on the menu tonight is spaghetti with brocolli pesto and mushroom+capsicum+tomatoes. but for the little missy i just made her fav pasta with tomato & cheese sauce, she doesnt mind having this every single damn day.
