i know a real life Brady Bunch family; it wasnt easy but they managed despite the hardships - what matters is the kids are well loved.
and i know a lady who has to raise 8 children singlehandedly in this challenging world. some people would say - what is the big deal? my MIL had to raise 7 (less 1) children on her own when her husband died sometime in late 60s (not sure historically) but did she ask for her husband to be taken away? No! she managed somehow and she lived a long life to see her children & grandchildren & great grandchildren.. my mom became a single unemployed parent when she lost her husband before he was 40 and she had to raise 4 children but we managed somehow, but those were the days when it wasnt a 'challenging material world'.
back to this mother of 8 - i'm really proud of NR for raising her children singlehandedly even while she was still married to the childrens' father who divorced her 2 years ago. doesnt she look gorgeous among her 8 children (7 girls & 1 boy)?
Aida, her 4th child (i think) nominated her for the single mother contest jointly organised by Victoria Station, NST and BH. read http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/People_Mymum_myhero/Article/
me: Na, congratulations!! just read it on nst online..can i put that on my blog??
NR: Thanks....but segan ah.... Better to be low profile. Still banyak to work on in life...
me: dont be so modest..u shud be proud of yourself..
NR: Bukan being modest.....but memang I know that its just what all other moms will do when facing such predicaments. And I wished I could have could have done the same'. .
strings of compliments came into her fb profile after the article being published in the paper. she deserves to be happy and i wish them all the best and more colourful days to come..
