design alas meja rojak

today is our 3rd day of puasa, so far Alhamdulillah it went well despite having to puasa for 17 clock hours but actually its 12 waking hours sebab lepas sahur/subuh tidor balik till 7.30am (for kamar), 8am (me) and 9 or 10am (big missy).

we didnt really feel thirsty cos the weather has been slightly overcast for the past few days, bila sejuk rasa lapar la sikit; only a bit of hunger pang in the morning then it passed. i put the summer project onhold for a while, tunggu few days bila weather dah ok sikit and body dah get used to the empty stomach during the day.
i should be starting on the DESIGN & VALUE coursework (yg kena refer tu kan..haiyaa..) with some long distance help from my cousin syila who's doing architecture in aberdeen. tapi kemalasan menjadi jadi.. wish she's here physically to do it for me !! thot of going out this weekend - to the library to do some research and then out to the city to take some photographs of buildings, open spaces etc. what the lecturer wanted are lots n lots of photos with some explanation on the topic chosen.
back to cerita puasa, as in previous years, i would use new ALAS MEJA for our dining table bila bulan puasa. saja lah, nak rasa meriah sikit. this year i bought a red/white checked table cloth from tkmaxx, rasa macam kat cafe pulak especially when the dining area is in the conservatory.
yesterday rasa nak makan kuih manis for berbuka, the day before dah makan savoury. mula2 nak makan puding sagu gula melaka. bila tengok dalam pantry, there's not much sagu left. yesterday after work kamar stopped at the asian shop & got a packet of sago, halal frozen charkoay, dried tofu, cans of lychee & longan (ingat nak buat puding lychee this weekend).

last nite's menu:
1. i found a packet of bubur pulut hitam mix in the cabinet, so thats what we had for dessert.
2. for appetiser - ROJAK TIMUN + TAUGEH + CHARKOAY + TOFU BAKAR dengan KUAH ROJAK MAK BEE
3. main dish - nasi with 2 mackerels fried on the pan with little bit of oil, cicah dgn sambal belacan and sup sayor of brocolli & baby corn with fish tofu.

for sahur - my first attempt making 'roti john' using finger (hot dog) rolls & corned beef instead of minced meat.
