am i? i think so. when it comes to the kids education, most parents i know would want their kids to do well. while we are proud of our kids achievement at school, we always want them to challenge themselves to a higher level.
big missy gets upset when i asked "pasal apa ada B?" bila dapat school report to the point that she prefers to show her report to daddy.
kakak had done well so far with maths being her strongest subject and we want her to keep it up. she understands the importance of getting good grades in certain subjects even tho she's only in year 8 (form 2). adik started reception (kindy) 6 months ago, with very basic knowledge in alphabets and numerics but we are pleased with her achievement so far in reading and writing, dah boleh tulis short stories. this term, her teacher is getting her to do higher level (std 1) maths. is she ready for that? i guess so.
i told the teacher to do whatever she thinks best for adik and to go ahead with the maths challenge, basically repeating what i told kakak's teacher few years ago. at the end of the meeting, teacher said "mummy is so competitive!!"
