Jam (pronounced Jem) and i used to live in a 5 bedroom house at Lorong Beluntas 2, Medan Damansara, which we shared with the other girls. this was way back in early 90s when i just returned home after my degree. the thing is, Jam had already moved out when i came in but then, she still returned to visit and went out for teh tarik or supper with the girls. one by one got married or bought their own properties and moved out but we always make a point to meet up when we could and we remain friends to this date..
Jam & co arrived in Notts on Thursday nite and they stayed at one of the hotels in the city. i met them on Friday afternoon at the uni, had fish & chips lunch at the cafe. at nite i invited them over for dinner; sempat la masak nasi ayam, ayam jeruk, sup ayam, salad, kicap & cili in one hour and made trifle for dessert.
on saturday morning, we took them to Peak District - Matlock Bath, Bakewell and walking at Monsal Dale.
i dont think they enjoyed the walking part as much as we did cos it can be quite tiring kalau tak biasa. they are all divers but i suppose swimming & walking are 2 different ballgame..that nite, i cooked kari ikan mackerel, kobis goreng, telur dadar, grilled salmon for dinner.
on sunday morning, they left for london on the train. sempat la pegi bye2 kat train station. they were in londeng for few days before crossing the channel to gay paree and flew home via dubai. hope to see Jam again sometime..
